We are pleased to announce that just before the New Year, our company received the long-awaited LIR status. This means that hosting provider HOSTLIFE has officially joined the RIPE community as a Local Internet Registry.
According to en.wikipedia.org: A Local Internet Registry (LIR) is an organization that oversees the allocation and registration of IP address space to network users (service providers and their subscribers). As a rule, Local Registries are operated by large service providers and corporate networks.
At the same time, we would like to inform you that from the very beginning, our company operates on its own IP blocks and does not lease them from intermediaries, so there will be no disruptions due to IP changes, nor any changes of addresses themselves.
For us, this will allow us to "play on a broader field", exploring new locations for deploying our equipment. Therefore, in the new year 2014, it is time to expect the launch of new products and services under the HOSTLIFE brand.
You can verify this on the official RIPE website.
